
Yashasvi Jaiswal Breaks Legendary Don Bradman Record, Becomes First Player In The World To Achieve Major Feat

India are currently taking on England in the first Test of the five-match series at the Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. India were put into bat first on Day 1, and the Shubman Gill-led side has punished the English bowlers left, right and centre on a batting-friendly wicket. One of the star performers on the day for India was Yashasvi Jaiswal, who went on to hit a century. With his superlative innings he has broken a record that was held by the legendary Don Bradman.
Yashasvi Jaiswal now has now scored 813 runs in 10 innings vs England in Tests, at an average of 90.33. He has overtaken Don Bradman to become the batter with the highest Test average against England (minimum 500 runs). Bradman has scored 5028 runs in 63 Test innings vs England at an average of 89.78. Therefore, Jaiswal in the first player in the world to score at an average of more than 90 in Tests vs England

Yashasvi Jaiswal Becomes First Player With Massive Record
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a century in his first Test in England. He also scored 161 in the second innings of his first Test match in Australia, which occurred in Perth in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25. Jaiswal has now become the first Indian batter to score a century in his first Test matches in both England and Australia.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also becomes the fifth Indian to score a century in his first match in England. He also becomes the second left-hander to score a century in his first match in England, after Sourav Ganguly back in 1996.
