The 2025 Maharashtra Premier League (IPL) fixture between Raigad Royals and Puneri Bappu on Satuday (June 7) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune saw a moment of genius from wicket-kepeer Suraj Shinde.
Shine did the unthinkable and produced a wicket for his team by hitting both ends from one throw. As Raigad walked out to chase a huge total of 203, they lost the wicket of opening batter Harsh Mogaveera on the fifth ball of the first over. Mogaveera faced just one ball in the innings and was dismissed for a duck.
On the delivery, Mogaveera was dismissed; he was on the non-striker's end. Ramakrishna Ghosh's delivery was defended towards the off-side by Siddesh Veer, and it looked a delivery without incident. Veer took off for a run, but on realising that Shinde had reached it, he immediately went back. While the wicket-keeper hit the stumps, he was inside the crease.
However, the throw deflected from the stumps on the striker's end towards the one on the non-striker's end in a rare sequence of events. Mogaveera was halfway down the crease and had to depart. Shine's teammates were left stunned as he produced a moment of genius that will be hard to replicate.

Before his heroics on the field, Shine played a stunning unbeaten knock of 40 runs in 12 balls as Puneri posted a huge total of 202 on the board. Yash Nahar (82 of 52) and Rushikesh Sonawane (58 of 40) scored half-centuries. Nikkit Dhumal took a five-wicket haul for them
