The important IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 clash between Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings and Hardik Pandya's Mumbai Indians, which is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on June 1 (Sunday) saw a delayed start due to rain. Bad weather played spoilsport for everyone as it postponed the match for more than two hours. The cut-off time before the 20-over game starts losing overs was set to 9:45 PM IST. However, the rain stopped and the game finally began.
However, a delayed start also means the game will go on for a much extended time than usual. BCCI has officially released the new timings of the match.
Here are the new timings of IPL 2025 Qualifier 2
- First Innings: 21:45-23:15
- Interval: 23:15-23:25
- Second Innings: 23:25-00:55
This is a knockout game, and the winner of this clash will meet Rajat Patidar's Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. PBKS won the toss and elected to bowl first. They are coming into this game after a loss against RCB in Qualifier 1, and on the other hand, MI defeated Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator.
