Mumbai Indians (MI) are all set to take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 6 (Tuesday), in a match between two of the most in-form teams of the IPL 2025. This will be their second encounter of the competition, after GT won the match earlier last month by 33 runs. However, there is a massive chance that the match might just be the third game of the IPl 2025 to be washed out. In tha case, KKR would be left scratching their heads, as they aim to stage a mini comeback for their own.

MI Vs GT Weather Report

According to a report by Accuweather.com, there is a massive chance of rainfall just before the match. There is a 48-52% chance of rain from 4 pm to 6 pm. After that, there are spells of rain predicted during the match too. Hence, there is a chance that they might have another washout a day after the SRH vs DC game ended in a no-result due to rain.

What Happens If MI Vs GT Is Washed Out?

If the Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans match is washed out due to the rain in Mumbai, then the match will end in a no-result. This means that both MI and GT will get one point each. Both teams are on 14 points each, and one point each means they will be on 15 points. Hence, there will be a chance that both teams can finish on at least 17 points.
The maximum that KKR can finish on is 17 points, and hence they would wat that one of wither MI or GT lose their match, so that that one of them gains nothing from the match, and the defending champions will have one less side to worry about.
