The IPL 2025 is set to witness some blockbuster action on Friday, April 18, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a clash between the two most in-form sides of the competition. The match is set to be the third game of the season that will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Both sides will be looking to continue their momentum after wins in their respective last games.
RCB have been brilliant away from home in IPL 2025. They have won all four of their away matches against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, they are yet to win at their home ground, having lost both matches to Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC). Hence, they would be looking to defeat Punjab Kings to register their first win at the Chinnaswamy in IPL 2025.
Punjab Kings have been one of the better sides of the IPL 2025, having won four of their six matches in the compeition so far, The Shreyas Iyer-led side are currently positioned at no.4 in the points table. They are fresh coming off a historic win against KKR, where they defended 111, the lowest-ever winning total in IPL history. Hence, they will face RCB with some massive confidence in their stride.
