Across the world, only five players have reached the milestone quicker than Jaiswal by matches. Don Bradman took the least number of games (15) and is followed by George Headley (17). Herbert Sutcliffe(22), Michael Hussey (20), and Marnus Labuschagne (20).
Jaiswal is also the joint-quickest by innings (40) among Indian and Asian players alongside Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid. He is also the only player from the continent to reach the milestone within two years of his debut. Across the globe, there have been only three players to complete the milestone before the 2nd anniversary of their first test appearance.
Last year, Jaiswal had also become the quickest Indian to complete 1000 Test runs by matches (9) and the second-quickest by innings (16) behind Vinod Kambli.
The 23-year-old is also the second-youngest Indian to reach the milestone after Sachin Tendulkar.
