A photo of Jasprit Bumrah engrossed in an animated conversation with India head coach Gautam Gambhir inside the dressing room went viral on the second day of the first Test against England at Headingley, Leeds.
The image was captured during the final session of the second day’s play in the first Test against England at Headingley. It sparked buzz among fans, with many speculating about the exchange between the pace ace and Gambhir. However, it remains unknown what happened between the ace pacer and the head coach.
Bumrah was in devastating form and snapped up three English wickets as England reached 209 for 3 in response to India’s 471. His wickets included the prized scalp of Joe Root and a brilliant delivery that sent Zak Crawley packing in the first over.

A no-ball in the final over, however, denied him a fourth when Harry Brook was caught for a duck — a moment that may have an impact on the outcome of the match.
Despite dominating large parts of the game, India were frustrated by dropped catches and missed chances.
Earlier, Bumrah had both Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope put down, with Pope eventually capitalising to reach an unbeaten century. Bumrah ended the day with figures of 3 for 48 in 12 overs, emerging as the standout bowler.
Earlier, Rishabh Pant became the third Indian batter to smash a hundred (134) in the first innings, with captain Shubman Gill's innings finally ending at 147. However, after the duo’s dismissals, India suffered a big collapse from 430 for 3 to 471 all out, losing their last seven wickets for just 41 runs.
Josh Tongue and Ben Stokes took four wickets each as England stormed back into the contest. Pope, meanwhile, scored a gritty hundred.
