India are currently taking on England in the first Test of the five-match series at the Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. India scored a formidable total of 471 batting first. The two biggest performers in the match were Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill who hit 134 and 147 respectively. While they received adulations from all around, Sachin Tendulkar's spot-on analysis on their on-field conversation has gone viral.
In a post on his X account, Sachin Tendulkar pointed out that Shubman Gill and Risabh Pant were speaking to each other loudly in Hindi when Shoaib Bashir was bowling. This was not casual talk, but a tactic to disrupt the bowler's confidence. He also explained why Pant's falling paddle sweep shot is not accidental but clever and intentional.
"Rishabh's falling paddle sweep is not accidental. It is intentional and extremely clever. Going down with the shot allows him to get under the ball and scoop it over leg slip with control. Also noticed something interesting during Bashir’s spell. Shubman and Rishabh were speaking loudly in Hindi between deliveries. It wasn’t just casual talk. They were playing mind games with the bowler, trying to disrupt his rhythm. These minor details may not appear on the scoreboard, but they can have a significant impact on the game," Sachin wrote.
Tendulkar's top-notch analysis immediately went viral, as his observations were called 'god-like' by some users on X. Fans even urged him to open a YouTube channel.

India Suffer Late Batting Collpase Despite Three Centuries
England won the toss and elected to bowl first. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, who opened the batting, had a brilliant stand of 91 runs. Rahul was the first wicket to fall after scoring 42 runs by Brydon Carse. Just a few balls later, Sai Sudharsan, the new batter at no.3 was dismissed for a duck, as he had a debut to forget.
After lunch, Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill continued India's onslaught. The duo went on to slam a century partnership. Jaiswal went on to score a century in his first innings on English soil. He was dismissed for 101. After that Rishabh Pant and Gill continued to score the runs with a double century stand, with Gill going on to be dismissed after hitting 147. Pant too slammed a century, as he scored 130.
After that, the Indian batters fell like a pack of cards, as they were all for 471.
Despite Jasprit Bumrah getting an early breakthrough, England fought back excellently as Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope put on a century partnership for the second wicket
