Shubman Gill etched his name in the history books after leading India for the first time in Test cricket during the opening Test match of the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between the Indian and English cricket teams at the Headingley Cricket Stadium in Leeds on Friday (June 20).
Gill, who replaced Rohit Sharma as captain following the latter's retirement from the longest format of the game, was named captain while Rishabh Pant was appointed as his deputy. Shubman Gill Shatters Record Books

In the 93-year-old history of India playing Test cricket, Shubman Gill is India's fifth youngest captain behind only Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev and Ravi Shastri.
