South Africa are currently taking on Australia in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London. This is a big game for South Africa, as they would finally want to win and end their 27-year ICC trophy drought and shed their tag of perennial chokers. Temba Bavuma is leading the Proteas, and on Day 2, he somewhat pulled the SA innings back together with a gritty knock. He also achieved a rare feat that has only been achieved previously by Rohit Sharma.
Temba Bavuma hit 36 from 84 balls. He hit 4 fours and a six in his gritty innings. He has now become only the second captain in history to hit a six in the WTC final. Rohit Sharma had hit a six in the WTC 2023 final against Australia.
Bavuma also stitches a 64-run stand with David Beddingham. He was dismissed in the 40th over, when Marnus Labuschagne took a brilliant diving catch off a delivery from Australia captain Pat Cummins.

Even Contest In WTC 2025 Final

South Africa lost four early wickets at the end of Day 1. However, Temba Bavuma and David Beddingham pulled things back with their stand. Beddingham has continued with his innings, as the Proteas are on 121/5 at Lunch on Day 2.
