MS Dhoni added another feather to his illustrious cap on June 9 (Monday) when he was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, the highest honour bestowed by the apex cricketing body of the world. Dhoni becomes the 11th Indian to receive this honour from the ICC. The whole nation cheered as one of the biggest Indian cricketing legends got this honour. Dhoni's former Team India head coach, and a legendary cricketer himself, Ravi Shastri, had a pretty special tribute to him in his own inimitable style. He hilariously compared the great wicketkeeper-batter to a pickpocket.
Speaking at the ICC Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Ravi Shastri said that MS Dhoni's hands behind the stumps are faster than a pickpocket, because he can whip the bails off and pull off fast stumpings in an instant.
He has hands faster than a pickpocket. If you're ever in India, going for a big game, especially in Ahmedabad, you don't want MS behind you; watch that back. The wallet will disappear," Shastri said.

Ravi Shastri On MS Dhoni's Calm Attitude

Known by his nickname, 'Captain Cool', MS Dhoni was always hailed for his calm attitude on the field, even in the most pressure situations. Ravi Shastri himself explained that no matter what the situation, Dhoni's expression on his face always remains the same.
"He gets out for zero is the same; he wins the World Cup is the same; he gets a hundred the same, and two hundred the same. There is absolutely, you know, no difference," the former India head coach added.

MS Dhoni's Dismal Run In IPL 2025

MS Dhoni still continues to play cricket at the highest level at 43 years old. He was retained by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as an 'uncapped' player for IPL 2025.
However, he scored just 196 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of just above 135. He also captained the side after Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out due to an injury.
