Kusal Mendis Creates History After Hit-Wicket, Becomes First Player In The World To Achieve Unfortunate Feat

Kusal Mendis made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the crucia 2025 eliminator match for Gujarat Titans (GT) against Mumbai Indians (MI). Why Kusal Mendis Played IPL 2025 Eliminator

Jos Buttler is currently not in the squad for the Gujarat Titans. He played all 14 games of the IPL 2025 group stage, but then left for England before the IPL 2025 playoffs. This is because he is part of the England squad that is currently taking on West Indies in three ODIs and three T20Is.
In his place, Kusal Mendis has joined the squad and replaced Jos Buttler in the playing XI.
