Mumbai Indians (MI) sealed their place in the Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2025 when they beat Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator by a margin of 21 runs. After the win, rumours of a rift between the captain of the two teams- Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya dominated the headlines. This is because the duo seemed to avoid each other after the game got over, as they did not share the customary post-match handshake. Now, the GT captain has finally responded to this with a powerful pot on social media.

Shubman Gill posted a collage of two pictures of him and Hardik Pandya- one when they were both playing for Team India, and one during an IPL match between GT and MI- and shared a three word caption to put a rest to all rumours. He also hinted that everything was fine between them and not to believe everything on the internet.

“Nothing but love (Don’t believe everything you see on the internet),” Gill wrote.

Mumbai Indians picked up a convincing win over GT in the Eliminator to book a berth in Qualifier 2 against the Punjab Kings. It was a comprehensive effort from MI, who posted a solid score of 228-5 in 20 overs, courtesy of Rohit Sharma's 81. Jonny Bairstow (47), Suryakumar Yadav (33), Tilak Varma (25), and Hardik Pandya (22) also made critical contributions to put MI in the driver's seat at the halfway mark.

After losing Shubman Gill early, Sai Sudharsan (80) put up a great fight along with Washington Sundar (48). However, they couldn't get GT over the line. Jasprit Bumrah stole the show with the ball giving away just 27 runs in his 4 overs and picking up the crucial wicket of Sundar.
