Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) qualified for their fourth IPL final after they thrashed Punjab Kings (PBKS) by eight wickets in the Qualifier 1. RCB came into the playoff game after winning nine matches in 14 outings, and their performance only got better in Qualifier 1 as they bowled out PBKS for 101 before chasing the target with 10 overs and eight wickets to spare.

Following the impressive win, RCB captain Rajat Patidar sent a heartfelt message to RCB fans.

"I want to thank RCB fans, not only Chinnaswamy but wherever we go, we feel at home. We all love you. Just one more game and let's celebrate together," said Patidar.

RCB's biggest weakness over the years was their bowling, which often let them down, but IPL 2025 has been different, and the bowlers have equally contributed to the team's juggernaut. Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma were instrumental in RCB bowling out PBKS for a low score. The RCB captain was all praise for the bowlers after the impressive win.

"We were very clear in our bowling plans. Fast bowlers used the surface pretty well. The way Suyash chipped in with his line and length was incredible," said Patidar.

"As a captain I am pretty much clear about his bowling. His strength is to bowl in line of the stumps. His googly is very hard to pick. I don't want to confuse him. We don't mind him conceding a few runs," said Patidar.

Patidar was also high in praise for Phil Salt who scored 27 ball 56 to finish the chase against PBKS.

"The way he's batting in most of the matches. The way he's giving the start, it's a dream to watch him from the dugout. I am a huge fan of him," said Patidar.
