Suyash Sharma bowled a dream bowling spell for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the first qualifier of IPL 2025 qualifier against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The leg-spinner only spent 17 runs in three overs and scalped 3 wickets. Suyash scaled the key wickets of Marcus Stonis, Shashank Singh and Musheer Khan.

Suyash bowled googlies to perfection and the batters failed to read those. He played a key role in RCB bowling out PBKS for a mere total of 101.

Following the first innings, Suyash spoke to the official broadcaster and claimed that none of the batters could read his googlies. "Just tried to execute the plan by our coach. Was feeling very good today while bowling. No one wasn't able to read my googlies today, that is what I feel. We just tried to treat it as a normal match, never considered as if we are playing a semi-final. I have worked hard on my bowling," he said.

Apart from Suyash, Josh Hazlewood also bowled a brilliant spell of 3.1-0-21-3. Playing his first game since his return, Hazlewood dismissed Josh Inglis and Shreyas Iyer. He followed up with the wicket of Azmatullah Omarzai to bowl out PBKS.

RCB have got a quick start in the chase and the opening pair of Virat Kohli and Phil Salt put on 30 runs in first 3 overs. A win here will see RCB qualify for the final. PBKS will have one more chance to make it to the final if they lose today.

The losing team of the fixture will take on the winning team of the eliminator between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT). The losing team of the eliminator will crash out of IPL. The IPL 2025 final is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3.
