He performed well in defeat, scoring one of the two goals, but it was his social media post on X after the game that sent the footballing world into a frenzy. In a cryptic post on X, Ronaldo hinted that he might have played his last game for Al-Nassr. Will Cristiano Ronaldo Play In Club World Cup?

Al-Nassr finished third in the SPL 2024/25 table, as they could not qualify for the AFC Champions League Elite. They have also not qualified for the Club World Cup 2025, which is set to be played in a new format.
Traditionally played between four teams, the competition has expanded this year to include 32 teams from across the world. Of the four teams qualified from Asia, Al-Hilal is the only Saudi team present. Multiple reports have stated that 40-year-old Ronaldo wants to move to a team that is playing in the Club World Cup, so that he has a chance to play and win another major tournament before he retires.
A report in the Spanish newspaper MARCA has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo has been approached by one of the four Brazilian clubs in the Club World Cup (Botofago, Palmeiras, Fluminese, and Flamengo) to sign a contract with them.
In fact, FIFA President Gianni Infantino categorically confirmed that there are multiple clubs who are in talks with Ronaldo to sign a contract before the Club World Cup begins.
