Suryakumar Yadav etched his name in the history books during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday (May 21) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
In a virtual knockout clash, the 34-year-old anchor the MI innings after the top three failed to get a big score on the board. Suryakumar made an unbeaten knock of 73 in 43 balls to help the hosts post a massive score of 180.

With the course of his knock, Suryakumar hit 25+ runs in an innings for the 13th time this season. Quite incredibly, the Indian T20I captain has made at least 25 runs in all 13 matches that MI have played this season.
Suryakumar has equalled Temba Bavuma's record (13) for the most consecutive 25+ scores in T20 cricket. Earlier this season, the star batter broke the all-time IPL record for the player with the most 25+ scores in a row, which was previously held by Robin Uthappa (10).
