
MS Dhoni Creates HISTORY, Breaks Massive All-Time IPL Record Held By Rohit Sharma

Chennai Super Kings suffered their 10th defeat of the IPL 2025 campaign when they were decimated by Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Despite this defeat, the legendary captain MS Dhoni managed to create history, even though he scored just 16 runs from 17 balls. He even broke a huge record that was held by Rohit Sharma.
MS Dhoni hit one six during his 16-run innings. He has now hit at least one six in 136 innings. He now becomes the player with the most innings with at least one six in IPL history. He breaks the record of Rohit Sharma, who has hit at least one six in 135 innings in the IPL.

CSK got off to a poor start as they lost the wickets of Devon Conway and Urvil Patel in the second over bowled by Yudhvir Singh. Ayush Mhatre then went on to stitch a half-century stand with Ravichandran Ashwin. Mhatre departed after scoring a quickfire 43-run knock. Ravichandran Ashwin departed shortly after for 18. Ravindra Jadja departed just a few balls later, as CSK sank further into trouble. Dewald Brevis and Shivam Dube then went on to revive the innings for CSK with a half-century stand. Brevis departed against the run of play for a score of 43. Dube went on to score 39, but the RR pacers pulled things back brilliantly to restrict CSK to 187/9.
Yashasvi Jaiswal gave RR a brilliant start as he scored a 36 off 19 balls before departing to an Anshul Kamboj delivery. After that Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sanju Samson stabilized the innings with a fifty-run stand. Suryavanshi went on to score another half-century- his second of the IPL 2025. Ravichandran Ashwin then took both the wickets of Suryavanshi and Samson in a single over. Riyan Parag was dismissed after scoring just 3 runs. Dhruv Jurel played a blazing 31-run knock at the end, as RR comfortably won the match by 6 wickets
