The 14-year-old made was made to watch from the other end as Yashasvi Jaiswal gave the Royals a quick start before being dismissed by Anshul Kamboj. In the first three overs, Suryavanshi faced just three balls in the first overs.
After Jaiswal's wicket, the youngster made an uncharacteristically slow start by making just 11 runs in the powerplay after facing seven balls. However, the youngster got into his groove after the field restrictions went away and scored the second half-century of his IPL following the record-breaking century against Gujarat Titans (GT) earlier this season.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Creates History

With his incredible display, Suryavanshi became the first player in IPL history to score multiple half-centuries before turning an adult. He was one of just three players, alongside Riyan Parag and Ayush Mhathre, to reach the milestone before turning 18.
Suryavanshi also set the record for scoring the most runs before celebrating his 18th birthday in IPL history after scoring. He is the first player to score more than 250 runs at or before the age of 17 in IPL history. Ayush Mhatre became the first U-18 player to complete 200 runs earlier in the match.
Players With Most Runs In IPL History Before Turning 18
Player Runs 50+ Scores
Vaibhav Suryavanshi 252 2
Ayush Mhatre 206 1
Riyan Parag 160 1
Sarfaraz Khan 111 0
Abhishek Sharma 63 0
It is worth noting that Suryavanshi is already IPL's youngest centurion. The youngest player after him is Manish Pandey (19 years, 153 days), who achieved the feat in the 2009 season while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Deccen Chargers.
Meanwhile, Vaibhav has also become the youngest player in the world to have multiple T20 half-centuries. The only other player to have crossed the 50-run mark before turning 16 is Hassan Eisakhhil. He also has the most runs by a U-16 player and is the first to score 200 runs. Eisakhil, Ishan Kishan, Meet Bhavsar, and S Mathur are the only players to have 100 runs before celebrating their 16th birthday.
