Harshal Patel's Stunning Strike-Rate

Out of the 13 bowlers to complete 150 wickets in the IPL, Harshal has the best strike-rate, breaking a record long held by Malinga. Infact, the Indian pacer is the first bowler from across the world to have taken more than 150 wickets in the league's history with a strike-rate of less than 16.
Player Wickets Bowling Strike-Rate
Harshal Patel 150 15.9
Lasith Malinga 170 16.6

Yuzvendra Chahal 219 17.0
Jasprit Bumrah 178 18.2
Among the 150-wicket club in the IPL, Harshal has the fifth-best bowling average (23.46) with only Malinga, Bumrah, Chahal, and Rashid ahead of him. However, his bowling economy (8.83) is the worst. Him and Dwayne Bravo (8.38) are the only bowlers to take more than 150 wickets at an economy higher than eight.
Harshal is reigning purple cap holder and is one of three players to win it twice, alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Bravo, but the only one to do win it with two different teams. In the 2025 IPL, he has 15 wickets in 11 matches.
