KEY HIGHLIGHTS
  • David Miller is not part of LSG's playing XI vs SRH
  • Miller has played all 11 games before tonight for LSG in IPL 2025
  • LSG will be knocked out if they lose
David Miller is not part of Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) playing XI for their all-important clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Monday (May 19).
There has been no information on an injury to Miller and the South African star did return to India. He has been replaced by LSG's new signing Will O'Rourkee, who was signed as a temporary replacement in place of Mayank Yadav. The New Zealand pacer has replaced Miller in the playing XI. It seems like a tactical call taken by LSG to boost their struggling bowling unit.
While Miller has been named in the impact sub nominations, LSG already have four overseas players in the playing XI, which means that the South African star cannot play any part in the match.
Miller has struggled for form in the 2025 IPL and made just 153 runs in 11 matches at an average of 30.60 and a strike-rate of 127.50. He is yet to score a half-century in his debut season for LSG.
The Rishabh Pant-led side is still in the playoff race but needs to win each of their three remaining games and hope for other results to go their way.
Rourkee is making his debut for LSG and his inclusion means LSG have changed their combination having played four overseas batters so far in the tournament with an all-Indian bowling unit.
