IPL 2025 Qualification And Top 2 Scenario

Here is a look at how the playoff race stands for all 10 teams and what they need to do to finish in the top two.
Gujarat Titans - GT will qualify for the playoffs with one win in their remaining three games. The Titans, as things stand need to win all three to qualify for the playoffs, but if either of PBKS or RCB loses one game, they will get it with two victories due to a superior Net Run Rate (NRR)
Royal Challengers Bengaluru - RCB will seal their spot in the playoffs with one victory in their remaining three games. As things stand, they also need to win all matches to reach the playoffs, but the equation can change if either PBKS loses one game or GT lose two. In that situation, RCB could qualify with two wins. If the Bengaluru-based outfit can get a significant NRR boost, one defeat for the Titans could be enough.
Punjab Kings - The situation for Punjab Kings is similar to GT and RCB as one win will officially seal their playoffs spot. For a top two spot, they need to win their remaining three games and hope hope GT and RCB lose at least one game
Mumbai Indians - Mumbai Indians will seal a playoff spot if they win both their games. A top two spot is unlikely as it needs the three teams above them to lose at least two matches.
Delhi Capitals - Delhi Capitals need to win all their games and as they playing three teams above them that will be enough for them to qualify. For them to reach the playoffs, they need the top three to lose at least two games.
Kolkata Knight Riders - Kolkata Knight Riders need a miracle to qualify as they need to win all their games with a big NNR boost and hope that PBKS lose all their games while also hoping that DC do not win more than one match. They cannot finish in the top two.
Lucknow Super Giants - Lucknow Super Giants need to win all their remaining three games to qualify with a good margin and hope that the loser of the MI-PBKS match loses all their other games and DC do not secure more than one win. Another situation which can ensure they qualify if if either or GT or RCB loses all their matches with a big margin. They cannot finish in the top two.
Sunrisers Hyderabad - They cannot qualify.
Rajasthan Royals - They cannot qualify
Chennai Super Kings - They cannot qualify
