Rohit Sharma will make his on-field return when Mumbai Indians (MI) take on Delhi Capitals in a home match on May 21. With 7 wins from 12 matches, MI are at the fourth spot in the points table and they need to win their last 2 matches to qualify for the playoffs.
All eyes will be on Rohit when the IPL 2025 action resumes. He recently announced his Test retirement and the fans will only get to see him few times before he goes on a break. Rohit is now only active in ODI cricket.

Virat Kohli is the only batsman in IPL's history with more than 7000 IPL runs. Virat, who has been part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru since his IPL debut in 2008, has 8509 runs in 263 matches. Virat has 8 centuries and 62 half-centuries.
He is followed by Rohit. With 6769 runs, Shikhar Dhawan sits at the third spot. He performed consistently in the T20 league. Dhawan retired from Indian cricket in August 2024.
David Warner and Suresh Raina sit at fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Warner has 6565 runs in 184 matches. He went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Raina finished his IPL career with 5528 runs. He went unsold in the IPL 2022 mega-auction and retired from the Indian league later in the year. Raina now does commentary in IPL.
