The IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals is likely to get rescheduled or cancelled after Operation Sindoor. The match is scheduled to take place in Dharamsala on Thursday (May 8). Times Now has exclusively learnt that the Mumbai Indians-PBKS fixture has been moved out of Dharamsala and shifted to Mumbai. Dharamsala is PBKS' second home ground and they were scheduled to play 3 matches there in IPL 2025.
The BCCI is likely to provide an official update on the changes soon. PBKS have already played one game in Dharamsala. They hosted Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their first game at the venue on Sunday (May 4).
With 7 wins from 11 matches, PBKS are at the third spot in the points table. A win in their next game could see them move to the top spot. DC have six wins from 11 matches and they are at the fifth spot.
The Axar Patel-led side was at the top spot at one stage. DC are now reeling at the fifth spot and need a few wins to seal their spot in the next round.
As for MI, they moved to the fourth spot after losing to Gujarat Titans (GT) on Tuesday (May 6). The Hardik Pandya-led side suffered a defeat in a final-ball thriller at the hands of GT.
KKR-CSK match to go ahead
The 57th match of IPL 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will go ahead as per the schedule. The fixture will be played at the Eden Gardens from 7:30 PM IST.
CSK only have 2 wins from matches and they are reeling at the last spot in the points table. KKR have 5 wins from 11 matches and are at the sixth spot. The defending IPL Champions have to win remainder of their matches to make it to the playoffs.
