The 2025 Indian Premier League is now heading into's final two weeks in the league after a Super Sunday saw Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeat Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata by one run before Punjab Kings (PBKS) thumped Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 39 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Lucknow.
The results have meant that apart from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Royals still a mathematical chance to qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, PBKS have climbed to the second spot in the table and now four teams have already hit the 14-point mark in the league.
It increasingly looks unlikely that any team will qualify at the 14-point mark like Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) did last year. So far no team has ever missed out on the playoffs after getting 16 points in a 14-match season.

IPL 2025 Playoff Chances For All T0 Teams
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (95%) - RCB already have one foot in the playoffs, and they could make the second round even without winning a single game. Another victory will officially confirm their spot.
Punjab Kings (92%)- PBKS are also on the cusp of a first-ever playoff spot in 11 years. As they are on odd points, Net Run Rate (NRR) is not a problem for them, and one more win should seal their place.
Mumbai Indians (80%)- MI have made a typical mid-season resurface and a poor start and are on a six-match winning streak. The five-time champions have the best NRR in the league, and one more victory will put them as favourites for a playoff spot, while two wins in their remaining three matches will seal their qualification
Gujarat Titans (90%) - Gujarat Titans have had a nearly flawless season, and with seven wins in 10 matches, they are on course for a third playoff appearance in four games. The Titans could qualify with one win and will need a spectacular collapse to not qualify with four games left.
Delhi Capitals (50%) - Delhi Capitals' season has gone off course after winning six of their first eight games. However, the Capitals still have their destiny in their owns hands as they have a match against contenders MI, PBKS, and GT left. The Axar Patel-led side needs a minimum of two wins.
Kolkata Knight Riders (10%)- The defending champions have kept their hopes alive with wins in their last two games. The Knight Riders have odd points, and NRR is unlikely to be a factor unless they end up level with PBKS. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side needs to win all three remaining games to qualify.
Lucknow Super Giants (5%)- LSG have lost each of their last three games are now find an uphill battle to qualify. The Super Giants need to win all remaining games to reach 16 points and have a chance.
Rajasthan Royals (0%)- The Royals are officially out of the race and have no chance of making the playoffs. They can get to a maximum of 10 points.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (1%)- The 2024 runners-up are all but out of contention for a playoff spot despite having a numerical chance. The Sunrisers can get to a maximum of 14 points and need several other results to go their way.
Chennai Super Kings (0%) - The five-time champions have no chance of qualification and can get to a maximum of 10 points.
