Virat Kohli has set the stage on fire in IPL 2025. Kohli has the Orange Cap with 505 runs in 11 games, and RCB sit at the top of the points table, with eight wins. There couldn't be a better scenario for the RCB fans. Kohli has been very consistent and is one of the main reasons for RCB's juggernaut. There were concerns about Kohli's strike rate, but he gave a fitting response to his critics with a 33-ball 62 against the CSK. Kohli proved that it's not about the strike rate but how a player contributes to a team's win, and he has done it with great consistency. The fifty against CSK was Kohli's seventh in IPL 2025.

Meanwhile, this is the eighth time Kohli has gone past the 500-run mark in an IPL season. This is the most by a player in IPL history. The record was previously held by David Warner, who reached the 500 run mark in IPL seven times. Kohli levelled with Warner in IPL 2024 where he scored 741 runs.

Kohli was on another level in IPL 2016, where he scored 973 runs, including four centuries. This is still a record for most runs by a batter in an IPL season. He scored 530 runs in IPL 2018, 639 runs in 2023, and 741 runs in 2024.
