The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday (April 27) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium resembled the vibe of a 'gully cricket' match for a brief moment as several people include Suryakumar Yadav struggle to find a ball near the boundary line.
The incident happened in the ninth over of the match after Dhruv Jurel hit a six over Karn Sharma's bowling over extra cover. While the ball landed near the boundary line, what followed was bizarre and left cricket fans in stitches. In rather unimaginable scene, three MI players, including vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav and several cameramen were looking for a ball.
However, none of them were able to locate the white ball for a significant time as the match was halted for a few moments.
Social media was quick to notice the moment as several cricket fans were reminded of their own childhood days of playing the sport in the streets.
