Virat Kohli ended a long social media hiatus and took to Instagram to share a heartwarming social media post for his wife, Anushka Sharma on her 37h birthday. The Star Indian cricketer's post quickly went viral all over the internet.

"To my best friend, my life partner, my safe space, my best half , my everything. You’re the guiding light of all of our lives. We love you so much more everyday. Happy birthday my love," wrote Kohli on Instagram alongside a picture of the couple together

Arguably the most celebrated couple in the country, the Indian cricket legend and the Bollywood star married each other in December 2017 after reportedly dating each other for more than three years. The couple are parents to daughter Vamika (born in 2021) and son Akaay (born in 2024).

Kohli is currently playing the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who are currently top of the table with 14 points. The 36-year-old has been key to their success with 443 runs in 10 game at an average of 63.28 with six half-centuries. He is the second-highest run-getter in the tournament as things stand.

RCB have so far played 10 games and won seven of them, including a record-breaking run of six victories in a row away from home.

Kohli is one of four players in IPL history to play all 18 seasons, and the only one to play for the same team each year. However, RCB has yet to win an IPL trophy in its history. The Kohli-starrer team has played three finals (2009, 2011, and 2016) but lost on each occasion.

The Bengaluru-based outfit has reached the playoffs in four of the last five seasons and look set to make the second round once again.
