Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have not had a great IPL 2025 season so far. Even though they are still well in contention to reach the playoff with 5 wins from 9 games, their performances have not been up to the mark, with them depending on one-man shows from some of their players. Their owner, Sanjiv Goenka, is one of the most controversial figures in the IPL. Last year, he was seen arguing with KL Rahul, their captain. Now, star LSG batter Nicholas Pooran has exactly revealed what impact Goenka has had in the dressing room.

In an interaction with PTI, Nicholas Pooran said that Sanjiv Goenka has been brilliant when it comes to supporting the team. He has allowed the guys to take the decisions. He further said that Goenka and the team owners' impact has been wonderful.

“He’s been brilliant when it comes to supporting the guys. He allowed the guys to make the decisions based on the cricket. That’s what I have felt so far. The owners have given the guys enough opportunities and obviously, that has an impact on the game for the whole team and that was wonderful. Obviously it’s business end and with his backing, hopefully the guys can come up trumps now," Pooran said.

Nicholas Pooran has been in superb form throughout the IPL 2025. He has scored 377 runs in 9 games at an average of 47.13 and an astonishing strike rate of 204.89. In fact, Pooran has also smashed 31 sixes in the IPL 2025, the most by any batter in the tournament. He is third in the Orange cap leaderboard.

However, despite having a brilliant start to the IPL 2025, his form has dipped in the past few matches. In the last three games, Pooran has only managed scores of 8, 11, and 9, respectively.
