The players on the field for both Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are wearing black armbands as a mark of respect for the victims who lost their lives in the dastardly terrorist attack at the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

On April 23 (Wednesday) a group of armed terrorists brutally gunned down 28 innocent civilians, who had just gone to visit the Baisaran Valley as tourists. This has been considered as one of the worst terror attacks on Indian soil.

PBKS won the toss and elected to bat first. They were given a brilliant start by openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya. The duo went on to slam 120 for the opening wicket. While Arya scored 69, Prabshmiran fell just 17 runs short of his century.
