Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an exciting IPL 2025 match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This was a monumental match for the home side, as MS Dhoni returns as the captain of CSK after 683 days, after Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the rest of the IPL 2025 due to an elbow injury. However, they had a horrific time with the bat as KKR won the toss and opted to bowl first. They have sunk to a new low in 18 years.
Chennai Super Kings scored 103/9 in the first innings against KKR, as the Ajinkya Rahane-led side put on a brilliant show with the ball. This is now the lowest total that CSK have ever posted at their home ground in 18 years of the IPL. The previous lowest score by CSK at Chepauk was 109 all out against Mumbai Indians in 2019.
