India are all set to take on England in a five-match Test Series away from home from June 20, which will mark their first foray in the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle. This will be the first time that India will be playing a Test Series since the retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from the format. A lot will depend on how star bowler Jasprit Bumrah will peform. However, due to workload management issues, it is reported that he might play only three or four games out of the five. Ravichandran Ashwin has now made a massive revelation regarding Bumrah, who recently came back from a back injury that kept him out for a number of months.
In an interaction with RevSportz, R Ashwin revealed that it wasn't until the 4th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Melbourne that Bumrah was tired, and he told the team that his body was not giving more. He then broke down in the 5th Test in Sydney. He also highlighted the lack of use of sports medicine and technology in the case of Bumrah.

"We haven't really made use of sports science and technology when it comes to Bumrah. At the moment, it is all very subjective. In Australia also, it wasn't until Melbourne that Jassi said he was tired and his body wasn't giving more. Thereafter, he broke down in Sydney. There are some real lessons here. And that's what will define how you use him in England," he said.
"See, it is subjective to say he will play three Tests or four Tests. Why not two, and why not four? Now, we can measure everything, and then when you add to it how the player is feeling, you can come to a near-perfect assessment of where you stand with Jassi."
