Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) will go head-to-head in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as both teams aim to continue their brilliant run in the tournament so far.
RCB have started the season by completing the rare feat of being the league's three most successful sides in history - Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Mumbai Indians (MI) away from. The Bengaluru-based outfit is only the second team in IPL history after Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in 2012. However, RCB lost their only home game so far to the Gujarat Titans (GT).
On the other hand, the Capitals are unbeaten in the tournament so far, with three wins in a row. The Axar Patel-led side started the season with a one-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) before thrashing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Overall, RCB and DC have played each other 31 times in IPL history, with the Bengaluru-based outfit holding a giant edge on head-to-head, having won 19 matches and lost 11.
The match will see Faf du Plessis face RCB for the first time after leading three for three seasons. The Capitals outfit also has local boy KL Rahul in their ranks.
Before his appointment as full-time captain, Axar made his captaincy debut against RCB last year in Rishabh Pant's absence.
