Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are set to take on each other in an electrifying match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, in the first match of the double header day on Tuesday (April 8). This will be a match between two teams who have had similar fates in the tournament so far. The game was supposed to be held on Sunday (April 6). However, it was postponed owing to security reasons.

The match between KKR and LSG is set to begin from 3.30 PM IST. The toss for the game is scheduled to be held 30 minutes before the first ball is bowled. Hence, the toss is set to take place at 3 PM IST.

The pitch at Eden Gardens has undergone some major controversy as tge curator has gone at loggerheads with the KKR management. However, in the last match, it looked like KKR got the surface they wanted. It was not an out-and-out batting track, but offered help some help to spinners and pacers who can take the pace off the ball. If the pitch remains the same today, then the team would like to win the toss and opted to bat first.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants come into the game on Tuesday with similar fortunes, with the sides lying on 5th and 6th on the points table respectively.

Defending champions KKR began their campaign with a thumping loss to RCB at their home ground of Eden Gardens. In the next match, they comprehensively defeated the Rajasthan Royals. They were then comprehensively defeated by 8 wickets by Mumbai Indians. However, they came back with a bang with a massive 80-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

LSG were defeated by Delhi Capitals in a thrilling match to begin their campaign. This was followed with a win against SRH, followed by another loss against PBKS. In their last game, they snatched a big win against MI.
