
Bhuvneshwar Kumar Creates History, Breaks All-Time IPL Record vs Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) got their IPL 2025 campaign back on track as they registered a win in a nail-biting match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. While it was the RCB batters like Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar who stole the show, a few bowlers too also did their part, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar being one of them. The veteran Indian pace bowler managed to break a massive all-time IPL record in the match.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar went for 48 runs in his four overs. He picked up the important wicket of Tilak Varma, who scored a half-century vs RCB. He now has 184 wickets in his IPL career. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has now become the pacer with the most wickets in IPL history. He overtakes Dwayne Bravo, who has picked up 183 wickets in his Test career.

RCB Snatch Big Win Against MI
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) completed their third win in four matches as they continued their unbeaten record away from home in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). This was the Rajat Patidar-led side's first victory against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in 10 matches after six defeats in a row.
Chasing 222, MI lost openers Rohit Sharma (17) and Ryan Rickleton (17) in the powerplay. Will Jacks (12) and Suryakumar Yadav (28) failed to have an impact. Hardik Pandya (42 of 15) nearly pulled of a miracle while Tilak Varma completed a redemption after a class knock of 56 in 29 balls. However, both lost their wicket in within three balls. Krunal Pandya took four wickets while Yash Dayal and Josh Hazlewood got two wickets each.
Earlier, RCB posted 221 on the board after the MI won the toss and chose to bowl first. Virat Kohli top scored with 67, while Rajat Patidar slammed 64. On the other hand, Jitesh Sharma slammed 40 from 19 deliveries.
