Max Verstappen heads to the Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 just one point behind Lando Norris in the Formula 1 championship standings after clinching his first win of the season in Japan.
Formula 1 returns to the Bahrain International Circuit from April 11–13, 2025, following the Japanese Grand Prix. Verstappen’s victory at Suzuka ended a slow start to the season and reignited his title hopes.

Despite continued concerns over the Red Bull RB21, the Dutchman enters Bahrain with renewed momentum.
McLaren’s Lando Norris, who finished second in Japan, still tops the standings with 62 points. Verstappen sits close behind with 61, while Norris’ teammate Oscar Piastri rounds out the top three on 49.
The tight contest sets up a high-stakes battle in Bahrain, with McLaren currently leading the constructors’ championship on 111 points.
