Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ended the second week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the 9th spot while Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) replaced Punjab Kings (PBKS) to become the 2nd-placed team. PBKS moved to the third position after their big 50-run defeat against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday (April 5). CSK suffered a 25-run defeat against Delhi Capitals in the first game of the day.
PBKS suffered their first defeat of the tournament after failing to chase a big target of 206 at their home. RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal shone with the bat and he slammed 67 off just 45 balls. Riyan Parag's unbeaten 43 off 25 balls played a big role in RR putting on a big total on the board.
Delhi Capitals (DC), who defeated CSK, are the only undefeated team in the tournament. The Axar Patel-led side has won its all three matches. They have 6 points in their account at an NRR of +1.257.
Most Runs
Nicholas Pooran tops the list of batsmen with the most runs in IPL 2025. The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter has scored 201 runs in 4 matches. Batting with a strike rate of 218.47, Pooran has slammed 16 sixes and 18 boundaries.
He is followed by Sai Sudharsan, who has 186 runs. Michell Marsh (184) and Suryakumar Yadav (171) sit at next two spots, respectively.
Most wickets
CSK's Nooor Ahmed tops the wicket-taking charts with 10 scalps. He is followed by Mitchell Starc, who has 9 wickets for Delhi Capitals. The left-arm pacer took a five-fer against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Hardik Pandya has 8 wickets in IPL 2025 and is at the third position. The Mumbai Indians captain took a five-fer against Lucknow Super Giants. He is the only captain in IPL's history to take a five-fer.
Hardik shares the third position with Khaleel Ahmed, who has also scalped 8 wickets. The left-arm pacer is part of CSK in the ongoing season.
