Who Is Naman Dhir- MI's Rs 5.25 Crore Uncapped Star, Who Slammed 46 Vs LSG

Youngster Naman Dhir stole the show for Mumbai Indians against Lucknow Super Giants after MIs lost two early wickets. Coming in at no.3, the youngster slammed a quick 46 off 24.
While chasing 204 in the home of LSG, MI lost their first wicket in the second over in the form of Will Jacks, and soon Ryan Rickelton also departed. Naman Dhir then started a counterattack by smashing 21 run in Akash Deep's over. Naman slammed 4 boundaries and three sixes in his explosive inning.
A 25-year-old batting all-rounder from Haryana, who plays for Punjab in the domestic circuit, Naman Dhir made his IPL debut in 2024 with the Mumbai Indians. For IPL 2025, MI signed him again for a massive INR 5.25 crore. He has played 17 first-class games for Punjab and scored 604 runs with two centuries.
Naman Dhir is the product of the Mumbai Indians' scouting team. He was the second leading run scorer in a local T20 tournamnet called Sher-e-Punjab, which drew the attention of the scouting team of the Mumbai Indians. He scored 466 runs in that tournamnet with strike rate of 193.
MI picked him in the auction of IPL 2024 at his base price of INR 20 lakh, he did get the opportunity to make his debut in the very fisrt season. He made his IPL debut on March 24, 2024, against Gujarat Titans, where he scored 20 runs at a strike rate of 200. In the first season Naman has scored only one half-century in seven games, but MI was likely to invest on the youngster as they decided to spend INR 5.25 crore in the IPL 2025.
