Lucknow Super Giants are all currently taking on Mumbai Indians in a massive contest in the IPL 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. A lot was expected of LSG captain Rishabh Pant to perform in this match, as he was coming on the back of successive failures. However, the most expensive player in IPL history failed once again as he departed cheaply, making his team fall deeper into trouble.
Rishabh Pant scored only 2 runs from 6 deliveries. He skied a ball from Hardik Pandya, which was caught brilliantly by substitute fielder Corbin Bosch. This was his third single-digit score in four IPL 2025 games. He scored a duck in his first game vs Delhi Capitals. This was followed by a 2-run knock vs LSG and a 15-run innings against Punjab Kings.

No Rohit Sharma In MI Playing XI
At the toss, Hardik Pandya stated that Rohit Sharma got hit in the knee during a practice session. Hence, the five-time IPL winning captain is not playing for MI against LSG.
Rohit Sharma has not been in great form in the IPL 2025 so far. He played three games and has scored only 21 runs. He got out for duck in the first game vs CSK. In the following match vs Gujarat Titans he got out for 8, while in the match against KKR, he scored only 13 runs. He became the first batter to be dismissed for 80 single digit scores in IPL history.
