Lucknow Super Giants secured their second win of the IPL 2025, when they defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 runs in an electrifying encounter at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. These are worrying signs for Mi as they suffered their third defeat of the campaign. They have thus suffered a blow in the points table.
After the defeat, the Mumbai Indians are now 7th in the points table with 2 points on the board and a Net Run Rate of 0.108. Only CSK, RR and SRH are the teams below them. If CSK wins their match on April 5 vs Delhi Capitals, then MI will drop down the table further.
LSG, who were in 7th place before the game now climb one spot to 6th. They have a total points tally of 4 and a Net Run Rate of 0.048. They next face KKR at the Eden Gardens on April 8.

Ayush Badoni also chipped in with a quickfire 30, as LSG posted 203/8 in their 20 overs. Hardik Pandya starred with the ball with a five-wicket haul.
Mumbai Indians lost two early wickets before Naman Dhir got them back with a quickfire 46. Suryakumar Yadav also played brilliantly, scoring 67 runs. However, the LSG bowlers, especially leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi, stemmed the run flow, as the away side could only manage to score 191/5. Rathi finished with figures of 1/21 in his 4 overs.
