Kolkata Knight Riders are currently taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad in an exciting match of the IPL 2025 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The home side got off to a poor start as they lost two quick wickets, with both openers departing. After that, it was young Angkrish Raghuvanshi who pulled the innings through, taking the defending champions out of trouble. The 20-year-old batter has in process created a bit of history.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi slammed 50 from 32 balls in an innings studded with 5 fours and 2 sixes. This was his second fifty for KKR. He scored his first half-century for KKR in IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals. The youngster has thus became the first player ever to score two fifties for KKR before turning 21.
Raghuvnashi also becomes the fifth youngest player ever to slam two half-centuries in the IPL.

SRH got off to a great start as captain Pat Cummins took the wicket of Quinton de Kock in the 2nd over of the innings. In the very next over, Mohammed Shami took the wicket of Sunil Narine. After these two early wickets Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi got KKR back into the game with a half-century partnership for the fourth wicket. Rahane departed after scoring 38. Raghuvanshi then went on to slam a half-century, departing to Kamindu Mendis immediately after.
After that Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer went on to stitch a fifty-run stand, bringing KKR back to the game. Iyer went on to slam his first fifty of the campaign.The Knight Riders went on to post 200/6 at the end of the innings
