Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are currently taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an electrifying encounter at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Before the match started there was a lot of controversy surrounding the pitch at Eden Gardens. Earlier, it was reported that pitch curator Sujan Mukhejee had refused to provide the type of pitch that the KKR management and AJinkya Rahane demanded in the opening match vs RCB which made them unhappy. However, in the second match, the pitch has looked like a completely different surface, which is much drier and suited to spinners.
At the toss before the KKR vs SRH game, captain Ajinkya Rahane was asked whether he was happy with the pitch. Taking a dig at the pitch curator, Rahane said that home teams should get what they want. He expressed his happiness with the pitch, saying that it will suit their spinners. KKR have brought in three spinners into their lineup in the form of Moeen Ali, Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine.
