Yuvraj Singh turned the clock back and produced a vintage display with the bat in the semi-final of the International Masters League (IML) between India Masters and Australia Masters at the Shaheed Veer International Stadium in Raipur on Thursday (March 13) with a stunning knock of 59 in 30 balls.
After Shane Watson won the toss and chose to bowl, India posted a huge total of 220 on the board. Despite Ambati Rayudu's and Pawan Negi's early departure, Sachin Tendulkar gave the Men in Blue a solid start with a knock of 42 in just 30 balls.
Yuvraj's knock came at a strike rate of 196.67, including seven sixes, as he smashed the Australian bowling attack to all corners of the ground. He also smashed one boundary to help India post a huge total of 220 on the board. Stuart Binny (36 in 21 balls), Yusuf Pathan (23 in 10 balls), and Irfan Pathan (19 in 7 balls) played important cameos.
Fans were left nostalgic as Yuvraj showcased his incredible bat swing again. Many recalled his old habit of stepping up on the big stage against Australia.

For those unversed, Yuvraj has been the Player of the Match (POTM) in three of the five instances when India has defeated Australia in a knockout match of an ICC event. This includes his ODI debut in the 2000 Champions Trophy (ICC Knockout) quarter-final, the 2007 T20 World Cup semi-final, and the 2011 World Cup quarter-final.
Yuvraj won the Player of the Tournament (POTM) in India's 2011 World Cup victory for his all-round brilliance in the tournament. He was also India's most impactful player in their 2007 T20 World Cup.
