While the senior players of India and England are embroiled in a battle in Manchester in a must-win Test match, the India U-19 team and the England U-19 team were embroiled in a youth Test match of a series at the County Ground in Chelmsford, England. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been the talk of the town in this series as he has gone on to smash multiple records. Howrever, in the second innings if this match, he was quite, while his captain and CSK's young senation Ayush Mhatre went on to create history.
Ayush Mhatre slammed 126 off 80 balls, in an innings studded with 13 fours and five sixes. He reached his hundred in 64 balls. This is now the fastest hundred scored in the history of Youth Test matches. He broke the record of England’s George Bell who had scored an 88-ball century in a youth Test against Sri Lanka in 2022.

England had posted 309 in their first innings, with a solid middle-order performance. India responded with 279, led by Vihaan Malhotra’s century, but still conceded a 30-run lead. England batted briskly in the second innings, declaring at 324/5 to set up a final-day challenge for the Indian side.
India’s chase got off to a nightmare start in their run-chase of 332 with Vaibhav Suryavanshi dismissed for a golden duck. Ayush Mhatre then kept the temo going with his 126-run innings. He was ably supported by Abhigyan Kundu who scored 49 from 34 balls. However, India lost a flurry of wickets,a sengland pulled things back. They ended the day on 290/6, with the match ending in a draw
