India will be disappointed with their performance at Lord's as they suffered a 22 run defeat from a position of strength. India bowled out England for 192 in the second innings, and set a very achievable target of 193 runs, however, the batting that had fired in the series so far let the team down as India were bowled out for 170.
India could have easily taken a 3-0 lead in the series, but their inability to hold on to the advantage has seen them lose two Tests, which they could have won. They had a great chance to bat England out of the game in the first Test, but lower-order collapses in both innings meant that they could only set a target of 371, which England chased on a flat surface. At Lord's, India were in a great position for most of the game, but failed to chase an easy target of 193.

India Likely XI For 4th Test

India are likely to make a few changes in the playing XI for the fourth Test. Bumrah has played two Tests in the series, and he will play one more in the remaining two. India will likely rest Bumrah again from the Manchester Test to manage his workload. Also, Bumrah picked up a slight injury on Day 4 of the Lord's test, and India would take no risk with him.
Another player who could be left out is Karun Nair, who has wasted his chances in the series. Nair has got starts, but he hasn't converted them into big scores on flat tracks. With Abhimanyu Easwaran's India debut long due, the Manchester Test could be the one where he finally gets a go.
Siraj has played three Tests, but he is a workhorse, and it's very unlikely India will rest him and Bumrah in the same Test. Arshdeep Singh could replace Bumrah in the fourth Test. There are calls for Kuldeep Yadav's inclusion in the playing XI, but with Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja doing well, it's fair to say that he will probably have to warm the bench throughout the series.
Rishabh Pant didn't keep wickets for most of the Lord's Test due to injury, and if he doesn't recover fully, India will have to play Dhruv Jurel at the cost of Karun Nair. However, the fourth Test will be played from July 23, so there is enough time for Pant to recover.
India's Likely XI For 4th Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh
