Stokes previously won the MOTM at the 'Home of Cricket' in a Test match against New Zealand in 2015, West Indies in 2017, and Australia in 2019.
Across all formats, this is Stokes' fifth MOTM award, which is the second-most at the ground behind Joe Root. Stokes also won the MOTM in the 2019 World Cup final at the ground when England won the biggest prize in the sport for the first and only time to date, which was ironically on July 14th, exactly six years to the day of the fifth day of the thriller against India.
This is Stokes' eight MOTM in England, which is the joint-second most in the country alongside Ian Botham and just one behind Stuart Broad's record (9).
