Jofra Archer proved the difference maker for England on his return to Test cricket after four years with an incredible spell on Day 5 of the third Test between England and India on Monday (July 14) at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. With India chasing a modest total of 193, the visitors were favourites to take a 2-1 lead in the series, but Archer but England on top by dismissing star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in the last session on Day 4.
With the match on a knife's edge, the express quick turned the gam in the favour of the hosts by dismissing India's danger man Rishabh Pant for nine runs. Later, Archer got the wicket of Washington Sundar after taking a brilliant catch.
Post the incredible take of his own bowling by the 30-year-old's X (formerly Twitter) was a topic of keen interest on social media. A search of his old tweets did not disappoint as a 10-year-old post went viral.
"How long it takes to get to Washington ?," wrote Archer in a post on the micro-blogging application on June 23, 2015.
For those unversed, Archer was extremely active on X before his entry into professional cricket with posts on a variety of topics, including cricket. In the past, a lot of his posts have resurfaced during several cricket games after key moments.
