Tempers flared between Ravindra Jadeja and Brydon Carse on Day 5 of the third Test at Lord's. England found themselves on top after India lost Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Washington Sundar early. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Reddy stabilised the innings.

During their partnership, Jadeja and Carse came face to face after an ugly collision. In the 35th over, Jadeja played a delivery on the off side, and sat off for a run. However, Carse was on his way, and the players collided. It seemed that Carse grabbed Jadeja by his shoulder, which irked the batter. After completing the run, Jadeja went towards Carse and exchanged a few words before Ben Stokes intervened.

Meanwhile, Nitish Reddy was out on the last ball of the session, leaving India 81 runs away from the target and Jasprit Bumrah to accompany Ravindra Jadeja. India will be very disappointed by how they let the game slip away from them. India did well to bowl out England for 192 in the second innings, and would have been happy chasing 193, but the top order, who has been in great form, didn't fire and India allowed England to take the driver's seat.

Throughout the series, India have dominated England, but failed to hold on to the advantage. In the first Test as well, they suffered lower-order collapses and fell a few runs short despite a brilliant top-order show. They had the chance to bat England out of the game, but the collapse allowed England to stay close, and later they chased 371 on the final day.
