'It's Not Bazball, Just Arrogance': Kumar Sangakkara Lashes Out At Harry Brook For Reckless Cricket (AP)

Kumar Sangakkara lashed out at Harry Brook after he threw away his wicket with England already in trouble on Day 4 of the Lord's Test. Brook came out with an ultra-aggressive approach and tonked Akash Deep for two fours and six in the same over, however, the approach didn't pay off for long as he lost his wicket to the same bowler while attempting a premeditated sweep, leaving England reeling at 87-4.
Sangakkara wasn't impressed with Brook and said that it was not Bazball, but arrogance.
“I wonder if they've changed fine leg fine, and he wanted to go square. That is not a scoop. The scoop he plays with ease, and this is a sweep, normally played off a spinner, and that was way too much room,” said Sangakkara on air.
“15 minutes to go for lunch, counterattack started. This is not smart batting.
"Brook has scooped, and they've given him a gap, so flick it. I think it's a bit of arrogance, not even overconfidence, it's not even Bazball, it's just arrogance. You're counter-attacking and that is a big, big mistake,” said Sangakkara.

India On Top After England Collapse

The Lord's Test for most part was heading towards a draw but the last two days has seen the Test take turn in India's favour. India batted well in the first innings and matched England's first inning total of 387 before blowing away England's top order in the second innings. At the time of writing, England were 166-6, with the cream of batting already back in the hut. Ben Stokes was at the crease, with Chris Woakes, and England long way off a safe target. India would look to get the remaining wickets quickly. Anything under 250 should be a decent total to chase for India.
