Tennis fans will have a great evening if Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner get anywhere close to the level they showed in the Roland Garros final. Even before Wimbledon began, the anticipation for the Alcaraz vs Sinner final was pretty high because the two stalwarts are comfortably a few levels above the rest, and it's very hard for a player to beat them in a best-of-five clash.
Sinner is slightly lucky to be in the Wimbledon final. He could have crashed out of the tournament after he trailed 2-0 to Grigor Dimitrov in the Round of 16, but luck gave him another chance after Dimitrov retired due to injury, and Sinner grabbed it with both hands. He defeated the dangerous Ben Shelton and veteran Novak Djokovic in the quarter and semifinal, respectively, to reach his maiden Wimbledon final. Barring the blip against Dimitrov, Sinner didn't drop a set en route to the final. At just 23, Jannik Sinner has now reached the final at all four Grand Slams, becoming the second-youngest player in history to achieve this feat.
Alcaraz's run to the final has been different from Sinner's as he has been tested by almost every player he played. It took him five sets to overcome Fabio Fognini, and he dropped at least a set against Struff, Rublev, and Fritz, whom he faced in the semifinal. His best performance came against Cameron Norrie, where he won in straight sets without breaking a sweat. Grass was not Alcaraz's best surface, but he is aiming for his third consecutive title at Wimbledon in just his fifth appearance, which shows how well he has adapted to the surface.

Alcaraz vs Sinner Head-to-Head

Barring clay, it's presumed that Sinner is better than Alcaraz in terms of skills, but the Spanish wizard has found a way to get the better of World No.1. Alcaraz leads 9-4 to Sinner, and has won the last five matches against the Italian, excluding the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia. Sinner, however, can take heart from the fact that he defeated Alcaraz in their only meeting on Grass at Wimbledon 2022.

Alcaraz vs Sinner Prediction

It's hard to go against Alcaraz, who is on a 24-match winning streak on the tour and a 20-match winning streak at Wimbledon. But Sinner is very, very dangerous, and the law of averages will catch up someday, but will it happen at Wimbledon 2025? Probably not, considering Sinner's wrist injury and the mental block he has against Alcaraz.
